Samy's story
I WAS ONCE A NICU BABY TOO!
Hi, I’m Samy Musunuru, a 9th grader from Allen, Texas.
My life began in the NICU on a cooling blanket, surrounded by machines, alarms, and uncertainty. Like many NICU parents, mine were overwhelmed, frightened, and desperately searching for answers and hope.
That experience is what inspired us to create A Little HERO Org, a space where no NICU family has to feel alone. Whether you're just starting this journey or deep in the middle of it, we're here to walk beside you with compassion, resources, and most importantly, understanding.
Thanks to the incredible care of doctors, nurses, and specialists from the very moment I was born, I’ve been able to grow, thrive, and tell this story. My family and I are forever grateful for their expertise and kindness.
A Little HERO Org is our way of giving back, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting NICU families with the tools, encouragement, and emotional strength they need. We hope that through our efforts, we can be a small light during what can feel like a very dark time.
